A root canal is a treatment used to save a tooth that’s badly infected or damaged. We gently remove the infected tissue inside the tooth, clean the area, and seal it to prevent further problems.

Thanks to modern techniques and anesthesia, root canals are comfortable and often no more painful than getting a filling. A crown is usually placed afterward to protect the tooth.
